Why should our organization hire a consultant?
It is nearly impossible for a head of school to remain
completely knowledgeable about all of the best practices
and changes occurring in education management today.
Consultants can provide executive level advice and
assistance to complete a project in a timely manner. Because of the consultant’s experience with varied
clients, the school head has the opportunity to tap into
their many resources and best practices.
Consultants are more cost-effective because the
organization doesn’t have to pay for salaries and
benefits or for educating and training staff on a
project or process. They have the expertise and time to
fill a gap for special projects that arise.
Consultants also provide flexibility. They have the
luxury of focusing on the project at hand, not getting
bogged down in the day-to-day operations of an
organization. They are there when you need them.
Sometimes staff can be too close to a problem to see the
solution. Consultants offer a fresh perspective and
unbiased ideas. They are not influenced by internal
politics, and they have no personal agenda. Therefore, a
consultant can act as an independent facilitator or
change agent.
